Default A expansion for Factions

This game is so short, It should be mandatory for ANet releases a expansion for it. I'm talking about something simple that would add more fun to the game. If it worked for Oblivion ( Xbox ), it can work for GW. I know Anet is to bissy with GW2, so I propose a simple solution. For $10 ( you must already have Factions ), you get at least 6 new missions, quests, 3 heroes, new skills and weapon skins for Dervs and Paragons ( to attract NF players ), and some cool elite armor for Sins and Ritualists.

I think ANet can get this done quick and people would buy it. What do ya think ? Sorry if this idea was already posted.

Basically a BMP for Factions. Oh wait...didn't the BMP already cover some of that?

Also, where would these proposed missions go? I mean, without completely redoing the storyline and all that.

Don't think it would be real quick either, especially since all their attention is focused on GW2.

It's a nice idea, if it could be worked out a little better. But I highly doubt it will happen. All we're gonna be doing until GW comes out is maxing titles.

There is lots of room for an expansion the size of GWEN to go into factions...

Cantha has entire regions unexplored. Both to the south & south west, and other islands.. IE some more of Utopia concepts with corsair regions...

And for that matter the we only see the northwestern part of the island as a whole. So plenty of room for expansion is there if they wanted too do it...

Well worth another $29.99 IMHO if they opted to do that interim of GW2 betas that still several months if not a year away... And we know that SOME material is still there to be used if they wanted too, as a little work on utopia had begun prior to it being canceled...

The suggested additions are much more than what was offered in the BMP, so it's highly unlikely that they'll make such a big addition, if at all. What they need to do is finish the realm of the gods, maybe as an additional pack.

when improving factions, anet should give us some more explorable areas, more factions (just only luxon and kurzick is stupid and boring), there could be more factions easily with a big load more of competitive missisions like fort aspenwood and the jade quarry...

cantha has so much unused map space, this conthinent has maybe like 30% explorable areas, the other 70% are unexplorable -.- how retarded is that please ???

The Am Fah and the Jade Brotherhood could be too factions, giving the players the possibility to make with some more quests also those enemies not hostile anymore. Those 2 could be 2 inner town factions, while the luxon and the kurzick are 2 outer town factions
The Canthan Empire will be a faction too. A Corsair Faction would be also possible.
I see also 4 possible new factions in addition to the Luxons and the Kurzicks:

- Canthan Empire (Color of Flag: gold yellow)
- Corsairs (Color of Flag: white/black)
- Jade Brotherhood (Color of Flag: turquoise *light green blueish*)
- Am Fah (Color of Flag: dark green or dark purple)
- Luxon (Color of Flag: red)
- Kurzick (Color of Flag: dark blue)

factions would make alot more fun, when it would provide more different factions, then only the Kurzicks and the Luxons... ok, the story about factions will be only about those 2, but that doesn't mean, that there can't exist more factions in the background.
-------------

also adding more professions with Add Ons... Cantha would have been also the campaign, which could have brought the Dragoon and the "Xunlai" (Shaolin Monk martial artist) for example, which fit also to the asian style of Cantha.
Where is written, that anetshould only implement new playable professions with new stand alones campaigns, when Add ons can do this also
--------

factions could be improved, by giving us finally a perma playable rollerbeetle racing, with an improved gaemplay concept and alot more race tracks, than just 1 and also implementign some new minigames, like a GW Card Game, which works similar to YuGiOh or FF8's card minigame (monsters drop then rarely their Card Versions) at a card NPC you can use your cards then to trade them in for special items, when you have for example doubles and triples of a certain card, which you don't want, or you trade the naturally with other cards from other players....

polymock was btw is crap with a total failed concept 8it isnt even pvp playable >.<
--------------------

factions can be improved, by finally getting rid of those dumb blocking service from other factions, its just annoying like hell, when your inventory is full of stuff u want to sell, u are a luxon in a kurzick outpost and you can#t sell your stuff to the npc there then -.-
--------------

improve it, by implementign some more factions pve-only skills ...
--------------

improve it, by makign the divine path enterable, without getting forced to beat Shiro ever again, or just replace the armor npc' for the canthan elite armors to somewhere else
--------------

ged rid of the bug, that I as Luxon have to fight against my own people in the Boreas explorable area...kurzicks should fight there only vs the hostile luxons there, but a luxon should not, unless you don't attack them manually first....

also that I has luxon have to pay my own people to get the luxon bonus of +3 life reg and +25 max hp, is kinda dumb, kurzicks have only to pay in luxon ares and vice versa ... own people should get the bonus for FREE !!!
------

k, this stuff is all small stuff, that can be changed with normal updates, therefore is no special add on needed XD.

However, this campaign has enough potential for improvement.... but addign more missions won't be happening, also the BMP added one with Togo in the past.
But i'd love to see those aras of the BMP quests become explorable areas (to get a bid lesser of unused map space >.>)

A world map is only a nice world map, when the player can explore every point on it

I'd buy a factions expansion, but only if it's in the line of GWEN not in the line of the BMP. I'd rather have a good $50AUS (since I know the game price is less in euro and us dollars, but I don' tknow by how much) expansion than another ultimately boring BMP.

It would be nice to have an history that says that the Shiro'ken didn't stop after killing Shiro, and you have to go on to cut the source of the Shiro'ken.

The door could be in Tahnnakai temple, in that door that goes nowhere in the east side. Then you go in the Norther Canthan mountains until you reach a forgotten canthan Shirne with a rift.

Enter the Rift and you fnd the place in the Anguish where the Shiro'ken are made, and you destroy the automated 'machine' Shiro set to make them.

Make it free, like Sorrow's Furnace. It's such a short game anyway.

I actually also thought of a Kill the Shiroken storyline; here's how to unlock:

Finish most of the quests in Kaineng/Mainland Cantha. Then you are presented a quest chain starting from Spirit Master Togo in Tahnnakai Temple. This introduces you to a new title: Dragon title track, that tracks your contribution to the Empire of the Dragon. Dragon skills also; basically functioning as one of the EotN races. Maybe a few more missions and let's use those mountains areas, they can be reminiscent of Mount Fuji / Himalayas Mts. style landscaping.

I've got to say I'm totally against people saying we should have things free. There's a lot of work that went into it. Sorrow's Furnace was a gift, and we're lucky to have it. That doesn't give us the right to simply go about demanding free updates all over the place. If there's any further content released, I am happy to buy it, and I think we should all be. Factions was only so short because it brought a lot to PVP. It didn't focus on PvE and thus felt short for those who only PvE. I'm only a PvE-er (mostly) and I just discovered Factions is my favourite campaign.

Then it should be no more than 5 dollars. Or if we have up to three trial keys from buying games and not using the trial keys, we should be able to sacrifice those trial keys to get it.

A good idea, poorly expressed by the OP and even more poorly by Pheonix, but a good idea.

IF ANet keeps with it's Tradition of releasing a game evey 6 months they COULD release a GWEN type expansion based off of the Unexplored areas of the Canthan map.

NO it should not be free.

NO it should not be "Manditory" cause it woked on X-box

NO you should not be able to turn in trial keys for it

NO it should not be BMP type, needs to be more content than that.

NO they should not add more Factions, all we need is 5 mobs runing around AB and more threads about how hard it is to max faction titles for The Jade Brotherhood

NO they should not add ne proffesions

NO they should not add new PvE only skills, you have Ursan, it's all you need it seems.

Read Pamelf's post above me, it's well spoken, stop "demanding" and enjoy, and I Too love the Factions campain, the scenery in the Jade sea is awsome

EotN can be considered an "expansion" pack for Prophecies.

If I had my way, have an "expansion" that is apart of the Factions map. An idea for this "expansion" could be something about what exactly the Oni are and what purpose they have in the game.

For Nightfall, find out what happens to the Hunger. I still think he deserves more of a role in the game, and I still think he should have been the final boss in the mission Gate of Madness along with General Bayel.

Oh... yes! The Oni! The weirdest demons in all the game.

Where do they come from? Where are they going to?

Though GWEN added alot, In all reality, What paid th bills was not the skills was not the titles, not even the HoM. it was just the added explorable areas...

And thats is basically what we want with an expansion to Factions...

They do not need much in the way of new creatures or new skills per say. We got more then enough all around for that...

Indeed some of us would like to see some of those skills vanish forever to prevent the game from being a single player game, But thats another topic...

All Anet would need is a few new bosses. A few new greens for those bosses. And say about 8 to 12 explorable maps... Some of which could be dungeons. After all there has to be a reason the Canthan people go isolationist after we defeated Shiro and prior to the Dragon devastation in GW2.

All that for like $19.99 - $29.99 and we would be golden as a community... Huge success.

If it was just going to be a BMP or Sorrows Furnace type addon, then that would only be $9.99 as it is so minimal in content. But still I think either would be a good option for a little extra Anet revenue during the year long lawl till GW2 betas start hitting online.

I would not be agaisnt some skills for Assassins and Ritualist only to make them have the same number as the other professions (the same goes for a possible Nightfal expansion)

More to balance... but when things are equitable they are easier to balance.

There is a good reason why it is a short campaign and that is so eveyone can go out and start ABing. This what it was designed for.

If you read the Guide to Factions it explains how the Oni were from. Kanaxai Controls Oni. I would like to see a little expansion so that Factions can get some love again. Factions has no love anymore from GWEN and NF were released.

Good point I didn't think of a few unique skills for Assassin and Ritualists... That would be nice... If they are PvE only skills it will not cause a problem in PvP balance wise, either... But a few extras for those would be nice...

True... But lets face it the massive PvP populace has dimisnished greatly. and interesting new things to do in game is dwindling cause of title farmers... So for a lot of us Cantha really felt like it was cut short... ESPECIALLY if they only played 1 side of the factions. Now I agree there has been plenty of time to go and play out both sides by now... But it would just be something interesting more to do in Cantha... Again it ties up the story line and expands into more explorable areas that is left wide open..

South western city (easy 3 zones) (Am Fah controlled)
South western peninsula (another 3 zones) (Jade Brotherhood controlled)
South west island (2 logical zones) (Tengu Sanctuary)
South eastern Jade sea (room for 3 to 4 zones) (Maybe the Naga territories that the Luxons are encroaching upon.)
North eastern city (room for 2 to 3 zones) (Corsair Pirates / Crimson Skull territory)

and a few logical dungeons

Under the southern Jade Sea (at least 2 possible) (Could it be we awaken Another Dragon??)
Passage to Island (similar to the one to gadds encampment)
City Sewer (euww but possible)
Southern Caves (maybe similar to slavers exile with multiparts? End expansion content?)

Thats 18 maps possible right there... Maybe 20.. so as you can see PLENTY of room for an expansion...
